Social Mediaand lots of it!

Anyone spearheading a new business venture knows that one of the best tools at your disposal is marketing and the exposure gained from such an endeavor. If you want the customers to come running they have to know you exist and know what you and your small business are all about – doesn’t matter if you are offering consulting, selling staplers or marketing small business xo internet service. You have to market yourself and, luckily, with social networking and the internet being what it is, marketing has never been easier.

You could start your own Facebook page for the company and make it open to the public. We aren’t talking about a breach of your security or secrets, just a kind of jumping off point where people can get to know your business and what it’s all about. You could also start a twitter and MySpace account for your business to further market both the brand and the company itself.

In the world today, it seems like social media has acquired the unfair connotation of being unprofessional – a place where high school kids go to complain about school and their parents. The truth of the matter is that utilizing social media to introduce your business is one of the easiest and fastest ways to market your company to hundreds, if not thousands.

When you decide to go into business for yourself, the process of making your dream a reality often seems daunting. However, following a few important steps will help get your business off on the right track.
Begin by deciding exactly what type of business you want to go into. See if your business will fulfill some niche in the marketplace.
Decide on a good name for your business. Think of something that will attract clients to you.
You can’t start and operate a business without the proper financing.Additional information can be found at http://rawbusinesslaw.com/2011/10/29/when-a-lawyer-can-help-your-business/. Secure the necessary financing for your endeavor from your personal savings, loans, or from friends and family who wish to help you in your venture.
Next, you need to secure a location for your business. Make sure the location is as easily accessible as possible. Also, make sure to comply with all of the permit, licensing, and zoning requirements in your locale.
There are several legal matters all new businesses have to attend to when first starting out. For instance, will your business be a sole proprietorship, a partnership, or a corporation. You will need to register your business accord to the laws of your particular state. For tax purposes, you need to obtain a tax payer identification number from the IRS and a sales tax number from your state.
With these steps completed, you will be on the road to opening day.

When starting a small business you may be deliberating if a sole proprietorship or a limited liability corporation (LLC) is the right option. You will have to weigh in on the benefits and drawbacks of each to ensure that the paperwork is worth signing.

Self-Proprietorship
A sole or self proprietorship considers you the owner as the business. There is no paperwork to be done; you simply claim your business income on your tax return. The income you generate is considered self-employment income. You will want to clarify this with your local government because you may need to register as a sole proprietor, but there should not be any extra paperwork. This is by far the easiest of all business entities because you do not have to do anything. Although there are some draw backs. Since you are the business, any liabilities to your company now become your personal liabilities. If you happen to end up in court defending your business, the plaintiff can pursue your personal assets to cover business debts.

Limited Liability Corporation
A limited liability corporation is a business entity that exempts you from business related liabilities. This business entity requires that profits and losses be passed directly to the owners through 1040 Schedule C forms. You must be sure to keep LLC and personal business separate. You should have a business banking account, a federal tax ID, and must ensure that all business files are kept separate and secure. You will have to file a “Certificate of Organization” with your local government, so be sure to check with them about everything you may need to register as a LLC. This option is great because it takes the owner out of the liability uncertainties. The disadvantage is that it costs money to register as a LLC and as a result they are more expensive to maintain than a sole-proprietorship. Be sure to contact your local government to find out the specific details related to your area. The information party rocks on: Legal Entities – When and What Kind?

Millions of people work from home and want to figure out the best way to save money in the home office. There are many steps that can be taken to help you save some money on the cost of your office. One way to save money is to buy recycled paper to use. When running a business paper is something that you will always need. Buying it recycled can save a lot of money and it is good for the enviroment. It is also helpful to use both sides of the paper.

Another way to help cut cost is to turn everything in the office of when it is not in use. At night when you are not working, or you will have a prolonged period of time when the office is not being used, turning off or unplugging electronics can save you quite a bit of money.

Another helpful tip is to buy used furniture for the office. Most items needed for an office can be found at a yard sell such as tables, printers, staplers and many other items. Also, using books from the library instead of purchasing them can also save money and also save space in the office. What’s 1 more click?

If you are like me then disorganized chaos seems to be the theme of many offices. But, when that organization fails and I look for those important meeting notes and I am unable to find them then I know I need more to help keep me organized online.

There are many tools to help individuals keep professionally organized online. Each tool provides a small function in keeping organized. There are many and with so many options you have to pick and chose where you think those tools will benefit you personally.

Some of the online tools I have found to be almost essential are ones I use every day. For example one I use on regular basis is email management. Email is the number one problem for many people so look for one that can help you stay organized. There are also many types of task management software, file storage software as well as collaboration software out there that is extremely useful. These tools are great for starting a business.

One that I absolutely needed prior to starting my business was financial organization. Financial online software for my new business helped me really keep the disorganized chaos from my new business financial issues. This helped wholeheartedly because, it allowed me to schedule, modify and view everything that was happening to my business financially. With so many significant tools available you will find one for your new business organizational plans in no time.
